The value of home languages at school and in heritage language learning settings

These sessions have been created for teachers and practitioners who are interested in the themes of migration, inclusivity, language learning and child development in multicultural families.

Our fourth online meeting: The value of home languages at school and in heritage language learning settings will take place on Monday, 13th of December at 7 pm via Zoom (free but registration needed, see below).  This will be the last session of our Community of Practice before the end of the year.

This time, we were delighted to meet Assistant Professor at School of Applied Language and Intercultural Studies, Dublin City University Dr Inmaculada Gómez Soler and Primary School teacher Phil McCarthy, to talk about what heritage language education is, the links between heritage language and mainstream education and its importance.
Please, watch the video prior to our live discussion. These discussion sessions will be a safe space to share lived experiences and will be used as a medium for exchange and Q&A from the expert featured in the videos.
