The Experience of Community Heritage Language Education in Ireland

This month, we will learn more about Heritage Language Schools in Ireland through a presentation by one of our members, Evan Furlong from Dublin School of Mandarin Chinese, to best understand the full experience of multilingual children who attend weekend/complementary/heritage language classes.
Every meeting is an opportunity to get together, learn, share experiences and good practice!
The meeting is free and open only to Mother Tongues members.

    Evan Furlong

    Evan Furlong holds a Masters in Education (MEd) from UCD and has been teaching Chinese Language and Culture courses in both primary and post-primary schools since 2008. She is the Principal of Dublin School of Mandarin Chinese. Evan was member of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment’s Development Sub Group for Leaving Certificate Mandarin Chinese.
