++Free for members. REGISTRATION NEEDED – scroll down ++
In this teacher-focused talk, Fiona Nic Fhionnlaoich will talk about her doctoral research on children’s experiences of learning Irish in English-medium primary schools. She will outline what children in first class and fifth class said about their experiences and how their views can help us develop our language teaching in schools. Some practical activities and resources for the development of language awareness and language learner autonomy will be shared in the session. These activities will focus on primary school in particular and will look at Irish lessons and also activities to make links across languages.
