In this teacher-focused event, Dr Carmen Kealy will present a new model for a better understanding of the complexity and associated challenges of migrant parenting and help-seeking in Ireland. Drawing on her research with Polish migrant parents and Irish service providers, Carmen will discuss the various elements that need to be considered when trying to effectively support migrant families, both within and outside the primary school setting.
